I had a long good break over the weekend. Today, the whole day was spent on planning the activities for next year's workplan. Next year is exciting yet challenging for NCC.
2004 CLTs that would be receiving the Supernumerary badge on 29 Oct, kindly let me know on your attendance, please.
1. Kindly note that there is a SISPEC Camp from 27 to 29 Oct. Any takers? CLTs and Cadets are elgible to attend the Camp. Interested, kindly drop me a mail and i will send you the details.
2. For the India Glider Course, Land and Sea CLTs can also apply but priority would be given to Air CLTs.
3. HQ NCC needs your help on designing a badge. It would be called the CDF-NCC Badge. Every year about 4-5 CLTS and cadets only would receive it. It would be the highest badge awarded to a NCC Cadet. The badge must depict tri-service, laurels and 4 stars that is the office rank of the CDF. Appreciate if you could recommend someone who is good at this. Stay cool and out of trouble. May the Force be with you...........

The conference was a success in principal. Firstly the Supernumerary Training Camp has been approved and it will start next year. The revised training program for the Specialists Course is approved but the annual intake will remain as all Part "C" cadets are needed to attend this basic leadership course. I will share with you the details during the Oct & Dec badge presentation. I will be taking a break the next 3 days. You stay cool and say hello to my posse.

Beauty is always in the eye of the beholder.
Today HQ hosted all the Heads of UGs. For me the highlight of the day was preparing my proposal papers for approval at tomorrow's Commandant's conference. My first paper is to conduct a residential Supernumerary Camp (4 days, 3 nights) during the Mar holidays. CLTs will graduate with cert & Badge while Cadets would get their lanyard & cert. 4 days compared with 13 lessons spread over 9 months.
My 2nd paper is to revise the present Spec Cse. Firstly, only the top 50% of Part C cadets of the sch unit could attend the course. It would be residential and out of the 4 days course, 2 days would be spent at SISPEC and the other 2 days at Campus. POP would be bigger with invited friends attending.
I will update my blog tomorrow on the outcome of my 2 papers. Wish me luck and hope you would support my plan. Lastly, any takers on the Hari Raya Nite tickets?
