I know you have been waiting for updates and I apologise for not doing it, as I'm still chilling out until the end of this year. I need to recharge my batteries as next year will be a very challenging and demanding one for HQ NCC. By the end of this year i promise to send you my 2nd edition from the Desk of RSM NCC on my reflections on the second half of this year and my expectations for 2006. I miss all of you and hope you enjoyed your holidays as the year comes to a close. The past 2 weeks have been spent being with my 3 sons, my daughter and my 2 persian cats. My wife was working and I only had time to be with her before and after the X'mas holidays. As the year ends, take some time to do your personal reflection and emerge stronger from your mistakes and harness your strong points. Signing out now and peace to all.

Greetings, this morning the staff of HQ NCC had a wonderful time spending X'mas celebrations with the residents of Gracehaven home from 0830 to 1230 hr. We played games with the children, presented prizes to the winners, had X'mas lunch complete with turkey and finally every child and staff of Grace Haven were given their X'mas presents. Tomorrow I am assisting the Chevron Club to organise X'mas function from 1400 to 1700 at the ballroom. I guess i have to keep on working over the weekend. By 19 Dec i am definitely going to take my much long awaited rest and to re-charge by batteries. Have a good weekend. Cheers

1. Firstly, i would like to announce that tomorrow is my last working day of 2005. It has been a challenging, tiring but most of all a rewarding year. Next year, there would be new challenges and higher heights to scale as we celebrate our 105th Anniversary.

2. Kindly note that with effect from 2 weeks ago, paying of compliments to Warrant Officers has slightly changed. Now all Warrant Officers who are not holding the appointment of RSM would be addressed as "Encik" while RSM's would be addressed as Sergeant Major.

3. For NCC School units USM would now be addressed as Sergeant Major while the rest would be addressed by their respective rank.

4. Kindly share this info to all your school unit Cadets and if your Teacher has any doubt kindly get them to call me.

5. Sometime next week, I will send to all of you notes from the Desk of RSM NCC to share with you my observations, feelings and comments on the last six months of this year and the direction HQ NCC would be taking for next year.

6. Have a good weekend and God Bless your souls with love, prosperity and happiness.

Central District graduands. This year Central District was dormant in HQ activities. Next year would be a challenging year for HQ NCC as we celebrate our 105th year. I hope you will rise to the challenge and assist HQ in whatever events we would be undertaking. Cheers
Band of brothers and sisters, without them all parades and ceremonies would be dull and boring. Graduands from the Swiss Winds. Thank you for your strong support and taking the challenge to be a marching band. We are definitely growing from strength to strength. It feels so good to have our own Band. Cheers.

East District graduands, always reliable and ready to serve with pride and dedication. Thank you for your sterling contributions throughout this hectic year. Terima Kaseh, Kiam Siah....
West District graduands, standing tall and proud. This year, West District had the most number of Supernumeraries compared to last year, the least. Keep it up and cheers to all.

Posing with MAJ SINGAM and me are the graduands from the Sea District. Year 2006 would be a busy year for Sea Cadets as all the Sea Training Centres would be opened and the National Camp Opening Ceremony would all be Sea based. A challening year ahead for all.
Today, was the Certificate of Appreciation Ceremony for 2005 Supernumeraries. Here are the graduands from Air District. Their journey has just begun and i have the confidence they would be as good as their predecessors. Congrats to all. I believe all of you would maintain the excellent standards that we have pledged to uphold and believe in. A role model for others to follow. Cheers.

Once the parade was over and the recitation of the CLT creed was completed, it was only natural for the newly promoted CLTs to let their hair down and enjoy their defining moment. Nurul Huda, rocks. There were 10 award winners and Supernumeraries, took 5 of them. Kenny, a Supernumerary was the best Cadet Trainee. Everybody is now looking at Supernumeraries with respect and envy. Thanks guys and gals for making Supernumeraries a force to be reckon with.

For the first time, for this parade, the donning of ranks was done at the parade square. It was a huge success and looks like this sequence would be included in future CLT course Graduation Parades.

Here, the 50th CLT course Cadet Trainees, reciting the NCC pledge.

50th CLT Course Graduation Parade 2005

Supernumeraries, ready for action, carrying the pride of NCC colors. Supernumeraries are always colorful people, just look at the colors they are carrying.

Finally, the Cadets from USA gave us a lesson on History by providing us info on how the American Flag evolved and what the folds on the flag means. Once i've got the write up on the folds, i will share with you on this blog.

Not to be outdone, here our friends from UK performed a song and dance number. Look at their Hawaii outfit. Cool stuff yeah........

Here, the Cadets from India preparing for their performance. They gave us a song and dance item that looked really from Bollywood movies. We were so lucky to be in attendance to witness their exciting and colorful item.

Here, the 3 Hong Kong cadets sang a Cantonese song for us. Look Tall, Taller, Tallest....

Here our foreign friends, the Brunei Cadets performing a Dikir Barat for us.

Our young Master of Ceremonies (MC) Jothi and Dawn who really did us proud with their calm professionalism as this was a big event for them and they passed with flying colors.

Our foreign friends visited us from 1 to 11 Dec 05. NCC hosted a dinner on 7 Dec at The British Club and our foreign cadets from Brunei, Hong Kong, India, UK and USA had a ball of a time. Our very own cadets did us proud with a few performances from the 50th CLT course trainees.

This photo was taken after the dinner ended. Here is a S/CLT Hafidah, one of the elegant diners that attended the NCC 3rd Dining In. It has been a priveledge to share with NCC the traditions and customs of military dining in and most importantly, the Guest of Honor, LG Ng Yat Chung was highly impressed on how the event was organised and that was the icing to the cake for the day.

Here I'm with a Cadet Trainee, Nurul Huda, who
is presently with the 50th CLT Course. Incidentally, she is a Supernumerary and there are a total of 24 Supernumeraries that are undergoing the CLT course. Lets wish them all the best and may they do us proud.

Its been quite awhile since i updated my blog. This is due to the flurry of activities HQ is presently undertaking. The 50th Offr Cadet Course Graduation Parade was conducted last week. This week sees the completion of the SSC and by the end of next week the 50th CLT Graduation Parade would take place.
