Mount Kinabalu Expedition (16 to 19 Dec 2013)

Greetings, the Mount Kinabalu expedition is scheduled to kick off from 16 to 19 Dec. I just received news that there are 15 slots available for NCC Associate members, Cadet Officers and Cadet Leaders or Senior Cadet Leaders. If you are interested, for AM's & C/Offrs, you can apply directly to MSG Chiok and his contact number is 98375557 and for Cadet Leaders and Senior Cadet Leaders you must contact your CO and your CO must contact the DC to apply. Sadly, registration closes tomorrow, 2 Dec at 1700 hr. Please apply as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. All the best.

Dialogue Session

This is an open invitation to all school NCC school unit USM's for a dialogue session with our Cadet Officers and staff of HQ NCC. The scheduled dates and time for this sharing are as follows:

2 Dec, 1900 to 2100 hr = West / Air
3 Dec, 1900 to 2100 hr = East / Sea
4 Dec, 1900 to 2100 hr = Central

Venue: NCC theatrette
Attire: Civilian

If you are unable to attend the scheduled date, you can come on the other dates.

63rd NCC CADET OFFICER COURSE INFO

Dear All,

Kindly inform all schools and applicants of the 63rd Cadet Officer Course that there will be two (2) sessions for the PT Selection Test and pre-course briefing. They PT Test will be held in the NCC Campus (MPH) on the following dates:

a.  Session 1:  Saturday, 9th November 2013, from 0900 - 1030 hrs

b.  Session 2:  Saturday, 16th November 2013, from 0900 - 1030 hrs

A pre-course briefing will be conducted after each test session, and those who fail the test need not stay back for the briefing. As the selection test is organised into two sessions to accommodate the applicants, the final list of selected cadets for the course will be finalized only after the 19th November test.  All applicants are advised to try their best for the test, as we will moderate the overall result to select only the top 160 applicants for the course. 

I am very glad with the strong support of the schools and the over-whelming response. We will surely be able to select the cream of the crop for the 63 COC.

Cadet Officers & Cadets,

It's been a long time since we mounted a Welcome Guard for such a visit.
The time has arrived and our distinguished guest will be visiting NCC Campus on 29 Aug, 16000 hr.
NCC will be mounting a welcome guard to warmly receive him and volunteers are required to achieve this.

In total I need 6 x Cadet Officers & 40 cadets to form the Welcome Guard. I will also take in Cadet Officers who are willing to be part of the contingent without appointment. Applicants must fulfill the following criteria to apply:

Welcome Guard Commander: C/CPT
Contingent Commander:  C/LTA
Contingent 2IC: C/LTA or C/2LT
Provost In Attendance: C/Offr
Cadets: 2SG and above, C/Offr or C/2LT

Drawing of no. 1 uniform will be from 19 to 23 Aug.
Rehearsal on 26 Aug, 1530 hr at NCC Campus
On 29 Aug, final rehearsal will be from 1400 hr

You must be present for both rehearsals to participate.

Command Band walk the ground and band rehearsal from 1400 to 1430 hr

All are to be at the FUP at 1430 hr for the truncated sequence run.

Performers can use the field for rehearsal from 1300 to 1430 and from 1500 to 1540 hr

Muslims cadets are to consume their dinner at approximately 1915 hr, hence after the parade they will proceed to the dining hall, their rifles are to be grouped together and safe guarded at the parade square.

Notice from the NCC Cadet Officer Council

Dear all,

Under the direction of Cadet Officer Council Chairman, the Parades & Ceremony and Events & Courses Committee will now function independently as Parade & Events Committee. It provides a platform to empower Cadet Officers to take up greater leadership roles during major inter-district parades and events.  We are in the midst of setting up this Committee and I require a team of dedicated Cadet Officers to volunteer and form the planning and executive committee.
