Parade Appointment Holders Selections for Chairman NCC Farewell Parade

A major parade will be held on 15 Jan 2011 at NCC Campus for Chairman NCC Farewell Parade. He has served NCC for 23 years and we want to give him a resounding farewell with a grand parade. Rehearsals will be on 7 Jan (PM), 8 Jan (AM) and on 15 Jan from 0900 hr till the actual parade on the same day at 1900 hr. Please note that NCC will be sending a team of Cadet, Cadet Officers and Teachers to China for a service learning trip. They need your assistance to donate items to give to the orphanages and schools at the villages that they will be visiting. They are sourcing for the following items:

NCC PDS AI COURSE AND SELECTIONS
Greetings, kindly be informed that the PDS AI course selections will be on 3 Dec, 0800 hr to 1000 hr at NCC Campus, Blk 245 car park. Cadets who have attended the Basic PDS Course or the Basic PDS certification by HQ NCC are eligible to attend the selections. You are to bring along your course certificate or your basic PDS certification certificate to be eligible for the selections. Please be reminded to have a decent hair cut while attending the selections that would be conducted by the MP Command PDS Instructors. Attire for the selections is no.4 uniform with beret. The course proper will commence from 6 to 14 Dec. It is a non-residentail course conducted at Mowbray Camp. Lunch will be provided for the course.

NCC CADET SENIOR SPECIALIST COURSE
Kindly be informed that the Senior Specs Course will be conducted from 3 to 9 Sep 2010.
Central & UG is from 3 Sep, 1400 to 5 Sep, 1730 hr
West / Sea is from 5 Sep, 0800 hr to 7 Sep, 1200 hr

For each course, I need a minimum of 36 Cadet Officers. (1 trainer to 10 cadets ratio)
For Specs Trainers i need 1 x RSM, 2 X CSM and 6 x Platoon Sgt for each course
I will be conducting a refresher for all Trainers on the last week of Aug to ensure the standardisation of the drills taught.
The date and time wil be made known later.

The Youth Olympics Games Committee is looking for 7 male and 4 female Cadet Officers or NCC Associate Members for the Opening Ceremony. You will be raising the National and Olympics Flag.You must fulfil the following criteria: Height 1.60 to 1.70m, BMI (18 - 25), Age: 17 to 21 years. No spectacles and no major medical issues. To all NCC Associate Members, kindly note that the NCC Associate T-shirt is in progress and the 2nd batch of Appointment Letter would be ready soon. I will inform you when all is ready for collection. If you do not have the NCC workplan, kindly drop me an e mail and i will send you the soft copy.

To all NCC Cadet Officers, kindly note that we are setting up an admin office for you when you conduct any camps or courses. It is situated at Blk 245, level 3 (the former East/West District office). The office will have 2 stand alone computers and printing facilities. I will also be installing about 30 lockers in this office for your usage. These lockers are to be used when you are at HQ conducting a 1-day or non-residential courses. Nothing is to be kept overnight in the lockers.
For camps and courses, you can draw the keys to the Cadet Officers bunks from Logistics Branch. After the course, kindly ensure the bunks are cleaned and all blankets, pillow cases and bedsheet are returned to Logistics Branch. The Course OIC would be responsible and he/she is to return the bunk keys to Logistics Branch after the course or camps. Nothing is to be left in the cupboards. Kindly pass the word around on this new system that will be adopted from now. The Cadet Officers (Ops Room) would be fully operatinal by 22 Feb 2010.

2nd NCC Freestyle Exhibition Drill Competition 2010
Greetings, kindly be informed that the 2nd NCC Freestyle Exhibition Drill Competition would be held on the following dates in the morning as follows:
Central District - 26 Feb
East District - 20 Feb
West District - 27 Feb
Sea/Air District - 6 Mar
Grand Finals - 20 Mar
The Admin Instruction complete with the rules and regulations would be sent to the school units by mid Jan.
Wishing all the participating teams, good luck and let's raise the bar higher this year.
