SM, since SSC and Leaders Camp have been combined to SSLC. Will there still be another phase of SSLC on September?

Christopher Bryan said...

Yes, there will be another 3 courses in Sep.

SM, how is the application procedure for AM like and are there any positions open for instructors for sslc?

Christopher Bryan said...

1. Once you have filled the AM application form, you can send it to me for in processing.
If you want to participate as an Instructor for SSLC you need to see your District Commander or District OIC for Cadet Officers for a post in SSLC.

SM, upon completion of SSLC, can we wear the lanyard for no. 3 uniform? If not, then can ADC graduates wear the lanyard? Thank you SM.

1. There is no lanyard for ADC or SSLC. That is a bygone era and let's not cling to it.

SM, my school ndp will have a colours party. Does the clr guard need a rifle(dummy). And if we have flag party instead (not on pole, just hold 4 corners and slow march in) do we still need guards?

Christopher Bryan said...

1. If you are going to march in holding the flag at the 4 corners you do not require escorts.

Anonymous said...

So if we're holding a pole we need escorts right?

Anonymous said...

Oh and the escorts need rifle right?

Sorry for asking too much qns, just carifying on behalf of my school.

SM
1)How do USMs of each unit draw their number three from log branch and does it come with name tag and master sergeant rank if I would like to collect it in AUG before school NDP.
2)How do USMs draw the metal Army NCC badge and One star kayaking badge using the indent form and what must the CO fill up and how to pass it to log branch?
3)Can USMs and ASMs get their MSG in August

Anonymous said...

You can't wear upon completion of SSLC even if its allowed as you are not a certified UDI. SSLC didn't cover drills.

Anonymous said...

SM
How do USMs from each school draw their No.3 and when can they do so?

Anonymous said...

And do my TO need to send the USM position first to HQ or my TO can just collect at any time that is arrange with log branch?

Christopher Bryan said...

1. You don't need escorts when holding the pole as this are not Colors.

2. Firstly, once you are promoted to MSG, your CO is to submit your name to Log Br and arrange for the drawing of the uniform. It does not come with a name tag but you will be given the no.3 rank.

3. Your CO can call this number 64773535 to request assistance on how to fill up the indent form.

4. Those who attended the SSLC in June should receive their MSG ranks in Aug.

5. You are eligible to wear your rank after you complete SSLC.

6. You must be a MSG first before you can draw your no. 3 uniform.

Good evening SM. Is there a minimum rank that NCC cadets need to acquire first before they can salute the state flag or a superior officer (eg. do they need to be 3SG and above or is there no minimum rank required)? Thank you SM.

Anonymous said...

SM, when can the Unit's CO collect the Master Sergeant rank for USM & ASM in August?

Anonymous said...

SM, if I am a 3SG and want to apply to become an AM, are there any regulations that I need to fulfill? And if I become an AM, will I have opportunities to be promoted as well as take part in NDP in the near future?

Christopher Bryan said...

1. There is no minimum rank to salute the state flag or an Officer.

2. Your CO's needs to make arrangements with Logistics Branch for the collection.

3. You need to pass your NAPFA to be an AM. Yes, there will be opportunities to be promoted and attend NDP.
