Drill Sequence

Cadets, below is a guide on how you should prepare for your drill mutual.

DRILL SEQUENCE

1.      Form the squad for drill

2.      Introduce the drill lesson

3.      Aim and Objective of the lesson

4.      English and Malay word of command

5.      Show a complete demonstration without explanation

6.      Show a complete demonstration in stages without explanation

7.      Show a complete demo on the first stage with explanation

8.      Let them practice, observe their mistakes

9.      Gather them and explain the common mistakes to the squad

10.    Practice them on the 1st stage, once ok, proceed to next stage.

11.    Once all stages completed, combine all stages for practice.

12.    The squad will execute the movement on your command & regulation pause.

13.    Once good, the squad would execute the movement by calling the regulation pause.

14.    Highlight the common mistakes made.

15.    Conclude by demonstrating to them the next drill lesson movement without explaining

ARMY APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

The Army Apprenticeship Program (AAP) is a 4 week programme from 4 - 29 June 2012 designed to provide a suitable platform for individuals to experience Army's basic soldiering, teamwork and camaraderie. The AAP will be lined with many interesting and exciting activities which will allow individuals to assess their inclination to a career in the Army. An allowance of $400 will be given to participants at the completion of AAP.

To provide a more comprehensive overview of the AAP and our exciting Army career, there will be a dedicated seminar for you and your parents scheduled on 24 March 12 (Sat) at SAF Career Centre (located inside Central Manpower Base) 3 Depot Rd #01-66 from 1000 to 1200 hr. Registration will start at 0930 hr

70th ANNIVERSARY OF THE FALL OF SPORE - MEMORIAL SERVICE

HQ NCC has been handed the honor and privilege to provide the Honor Guard for this significant and milestone event. This solemn event is to pay tribute to the fallen, war veterans and to rejoice with the peace and harmony that exists on this small nation.

This memorial service will be held on 15 Feb at approximately 1730 hr at Kranji War Memorial and is expected to end at about 1930 hr. Attire no. 1 uniform with SAR-21

I am looking for volunteers who are Cadet Officers to come forward and be an Honor Guard to mark this historic ceremony. I am looking for 12 males and 4 female Cadet Officers to form the Honor Guard Party. You need to meet the following criteria:

a. Must be at least 1.65 m
b. Must be able to attend 2 rehearsals (PM) dates to be confirmed later
c. Must be free the whole day on 15 Feb.
d. Males must have a decent hair cut
