DEMISE OF MR. PAUL LIM (HQ NCC STAFF)

Our longest serving staff, Mr Paul Lim, who has served HQ NCC for 36 years, passed away peacefully on 12 May 08. He is a treasured icon at HQ NCC. He will be truly missed. The funeral wake is situated at Blk 879, Woodlands St. 82 from today until 15 May 08. The funeral will be on 15 May 08 at Mandai Crematorium Hall 4 at 3.45 pm.
I strongly encourage you to pay your last respects and wish him well for his final journey back to God. Your presence will definitely make a difference in honouring our treasured icon. He is a fine example of our motto, To serve with pride and dedication.
Please pass this message around to all the Cadets, Cadet Officers and NCC Teacher Officers that you know. Thank you and May God bless your kind soul.

Swiss Winds Bandmaster, Mr Anthony Chew's father, Dr Robert Chew Kim Swee was called home to Jesus on 29 Feb. The wake is at Singapore Casket, Emerald Room. Wake service is on 1 Mar, Saturday at 8 pm. The funeral is at Mandai Crematorium Hall 4 on Sunday, 2 March at 1730 hr.

As of today, only 10% of the Cadet Officer's population has signed up for the Forum. I am truly disheartened as this Forum is organised for you, the Leaders of tomorrow. We have so much to share and learn. I believe you too have some burning issues that needs clarification. We only meet once or twice a year. I urge you to make that special effort to be present for the Forum. Your CCA trainings at the school units can always be postponed. I hope AKE prep training would not be an excuse too. Please pass this urgent message to all Cadet Officers that you know. Thank you.

To all serving Cadet Lieutenants. HQ NCC is conducting this one time exercise to emplace all of you to the new ranks. Kindly contact your District CSO immediately. Closing date for the Exercise is 2 Feb 08. To obtain C/LTA rank, you need 400 pts and must meet certain criteria. For C/CPT rank, you need 1000 pts and also meet certain criterias. The new ranks will take effect in mid Feb 08.
